A fashionable, grandly appointed Moscow department store (founded by Scottish merchants Andrew Muir and Archibald Mirrielees), invoked here purely as a mock-grand nickname for a young woman in the Bylim-Kolosovsky household, in the same comic register as her other nickname "Semiramis."
