character

Blok & Co.

also: Блок и К°.

A jokey collective pseudonym Chekhov signs at the close of a mock-official notice nested inside a comic letter to Dr. Obolonsky, sustaining the notice's parody-commercial framing (as if issued by a firm). Not the poet Alexander Blok, who was a child in 1889 and unconnected to this letter.
