A maid in the narrator's upstairs household, sent by him (Section 30) to ask Natalya Gavrilovna to come up for the famine-relief conference with Ivan Ivanitch Bragin. Distinct from Olya, the maid who serves in Natalya Gavrilovna's downstairs parlor later in the story -- the two names appear in separate scenes with separate household staffs, upstairs and downstairs, per the household's divided arrangement described in Section 11.
