The prospective bride of Anton's brother Ivan Pavlovich Chekhov, described only as "a lady landowner" (a landowner in her own right, not a landowner's daughter); Chekhov reports the planned marriage, set for the following May, as family news to Alexander. Not named or otherwise identified in the surviving correspondence, and the marriage did not in fact take place.
