also: Николаю Алексеевичу
An unidentified acquaintance -- reached here through Pleshcheyev as intermediary -- to whom Chekhov reports that I. M. Reading notes
- To A. N. Pleshcheyev, 31 March 1888. Moscow. §18 Nikolai Alekseevich
An unrelated acquaintance reached here through Pleshcheyev as intermediary, told that I. M. Kondratyev has forwarded a theatrical fee owed to Aleksandr Alekseevich. Distinct from Pleshcheyev's son of the same name and patronymic mentioned in section 14 -- the letter uses the identical form "Nikolai Alekseevich" for two different men, one Pleshcheyev's son, the other this theatrical-business contact.
