Semyon

A mill hand at Zheltukhin's estate, a minor onstage presence in "The Wood Demon." Distinct from, the estate steward named Semyon in Chekhov's earlier working draft of this same play described in a letter to Suvorin -- that character does not survive under this name into the finished play in the same role.
