A red-haired Zhukovo peasant in Chekhov's novella "Peasants" (Мужики, 1897) whose thatched-roof hut is the one that catches fire, after his wife sets the samovar in the entryway to make tea for an overnight guest, General Zhukov's old cook; his wife is found afterward lying senseless and moaning on the ground.
