Volzhinsky
also: Волжинский
An army officer Chekhov met by chance in the train carriage between Moscow and Tula on his April 1887 southern trip; his brother, a doctor, had just died of typhus in Moscow after coming in from his district for the physicians' congress. Volzhinsky invited Chekhov to visit him in Sevastopol and shared the overnight leg of the journey to Taganrog as far as Lozovaya.
