Без коромысла и утюга (Without the Yoke and the Flatiron)

Without the Yoke and the Flatiron

also: Без коромысла и утюга, Without the Yoke and the Flatiron

A play running at Korsh's Moscow theatre in late 1888; Chekhov reports that Solovtsov said it will be the first production staged once the ailing actress Glama-Meshcherskaya returns, and that it will continue to run many more times. No corpus authorship attribution is currently known for this specific title; it is distinct from Shcheglov's "The Theatrical Sparrow", a different play discussed elsewhere in the correspondence.
