To F. A. Kumanin, 11 March 1891. Moscow.
Ф. А. КУМАНИНУ, 11 марта 1891 г. Москва.
Headnote
Chekhov forwards Kumanin a short story by an unnamed acquaintance who contributes to Novoye Vremya ("New Times"), Alexey Suvorin’s newspaper. He recommends it as well made and asks Kumanin to read it; if Kumanin’s journal will not print it, Chekhov suggests sending it on to Novoye Vremya itself, addressed to Suvorin, where it will be accepted. The note closes abruptly – Chekhov says he is leaving ("Eду") – with no further content.
Addressed to Fyodor Alexandrovich Kumanin (1855-1896), editor of the Moscow literary-artistic journal Artist, founded in 1889 – already established in this corpus as. Reuse that entity.

11 марта.
I am sending you, Fyodor Alexandrovich, a very charming little story by an acquaintance of mine, a contributor to New Times. Please read the story. It is nicely done. If you will not be printing it, then send it on to the New Times office, addressed to Suvorin: they will print it there.
Goodbye! I am off.
До свиданья! Еду.
Yours, A. Chekhov.
