Depré, Bauer, and Arabazhi

also: Депре, Бауэр и Арабажи

A trio of real period Moscow wine and spirits merchants (Depré, a fashionable French wine importer; Bauer; Arabazhi) invoked together as shorthand for strong drink; the narrator blames his terror on their having gone to his head rather than admit to real fright.
