Alexander Chekhov's children (with Natalia Alexandrovna)

Alexander Pavlovich Chekhov's children by his common-law wife Natalia Alexandrovna Golden, referred to here plainly as \textit{незаконные дети} ("illegitimate children") since the union was not a registered marriage at this date -- a factual legal term of the period rather than a slur, deployed in a register of gruff, affectionate family teasing ("I'll scald your illegitimate children with boiling water," followed by a mock-sighing "Poor children!"). Distinct from family:alexander-chekhov-sons, the earlier "pups" (\textit{цуцыки}) nickname for Alexander's sons by his first, legally married wife Anna Ivanovna Khrushchova-Sokolnikova, who died in 1888.
