The Forester

A big, fat-faced man in a red shirt, leader of the three horsemen who rob and beat the coachman's father to death for the rent money he is carrying; later, at his own cottage, he draws the lot to murder the witness Anyutka and instead kills his own sleeping daughter by mistake in the dark.
