Alexei Konstantinovich Tolstoy

Russian poet, dramatist, and satirist (1817-1875), a distant relative of Leo Tolstoy and, with the Zhemchuzhnikov brothers, co-creator of the fictitious satirical persona Kozma Prutkov; his 1858 narrative poem "The Sinner" ("Грешница") was a standard recitation set-piece and is what the stationmaster begins reading aloud at the Act Three ball in "The Cherry Orchard."
