Reading notes
- To the Chekhovs, 3 December 1887. Petersburg. §9 Anna Arkadyevna
An acquaintance of Chekhov's, previously greeted with a flattering diminutive in an earlier letter to the Golike family; here Chekhov jokingly proposes her as a match for his brother Ivan. Not otherwise identified in the source commentary -- the source text gives no indication she is connected to Leikin, whose wife is documented elsewhere in this corpus as Praskovya Nikiforovna.
