FICTIONAL CHARACTER -- Blagosvetlov's earnest, feckless student son. His passing fancy for dressing as a Narodnik (a member of the 1870s-80s Russian populist movement that idealized and sought to "go to the people") that comes out looking Turkish instead is a small character joke about his lack of self-knowledge, not a real biographical claim.
