Named alongside Mitya as having raised 10 rubles for Chekhov by lottery, which Chekhov reports forwarding "to its destination" (probably famine relief) with a receipt to follow; not further identified in this letter. Identity uncertain -- possibly, but not confirmed as, Aleksei Suvorin's own son Boris, who shares the same nickname elsewhere in this corpus; the two are kept distinct rather than merged, per the headnote's caution.
