D. K. Lamanche

A Moscow comic writer and versifier of the early 1880s whose light verse Chekhov liked but whose prose (published in the humor weekly Budilnik) he found unbearable; Chekhov was uncertain whether Lamanche was the same person as one "Yezhini."
