Kolomnin a heartfelt letter of thanks for a tea-glass holder Kolomnin and Chekhov had given him; a common surname, and not confirmed as the same figure as the other Pokrovskys already distinguished in this corpus (the Taganrog priest teased about the hussars, whose given initial is not recorded;, from a newspaper advertisement;, an orator). Kept as a distinct, provisional entity pending further identification.
