An actor in Chekhov's Odessa theatrical troupe of summer 1889, nicknamed for his Hamlet role and described backstage as languishing and "hurling thunderbolts"; the troupe's "Hamlet" is reported elsewhere in the same letter as having gone well. Real name unresolved.
