Heinrich Block & Co.

also: Генрих Блокк и К°

A comic mock-formal pseudonym Chekhov signs at the close of this letter to Suvorin, sustaining the letter's jokey register rather than signing his own name; not a real correspondent. Distinct from ("Blok & Co."), a similarly jokey collective signature used in an unrelated 1889 letter to Dr. Obolonsky -- the two share the gag of a mock-commercial "& Co." signature but use different names and appear in different letters.
