Iona Potapov

An aging St. Petersburg cab driver (izvozchik) grieving his son Kuzma's recent death, who spends a snowy evening seeking anyone willing to listen to his grief -- fares, a caretaker, a fellow cabman -- and is rebuffed by each, finally telling the whole story to his horse.
