The eldest of Volodya's three sisters (eleven years old), who eavesdrops on the boys' plans with Sonya, is entrusted with the secret, and is left in tears and frightened by Chechevitsyn's roaring performance as a tiger; he leaves a keepsake inscription, "Montigomo Hawk's Claw," in her notebook at the story's close.
