person
Kuzma
also: Кузьма
FICTIONAL CHARACTER in Chekhov's one-act "Tatyana Repina" (1889), a church sacristan/verger addressed by name in the play's closing scene as he extinguishes the candles after the wedding (\S394, "Kuzma, why on earth have you put out every last light?"); an unattributed reply follows in the source but is not confirmed to be his. Distinct from the many other Kuzmas across this corpus's stories and letters (e.g.), who belong to unrelated works.
