Malyuta Skuratov

Ivan the Terrible's chief oprichnik and personal enforcer (d. 1573), whose name became, in later Russian usage, a byword for a cruel and merciless taskmaster; the warehouse clerks apply it as a nickname to Pochatkin for his harsh treatment of the errand boys.
