Semashko

also: Семашко

An unidentified acquaintance or photographer whose photographs Alexander Chekhov had sent to Anton some time before this letter; first name and connection not given in the source. Possibly, but not confirmably, the same "Semashko" who traveled with Chekhov from Luka to Moscow in September 1889 -- the surname recurs, but nothing in this letter ties the photographs to that earlier trip or otherwise confirms the identification, so the two are kept as separate provisional entries pending further evidence.
