Tigrov (vaudeville draft)

A fictional actor-character in the 'Hamlet'-themed vaudeville Chekhov and Alexander Lazarev (Gruzinsky) were co-drafting in late 1887 (the project named 'Hamlet, Prince of Denmark' in); Chekhov proposes the role be written for the comic actor Gradov-Sokolov and, in a later plot note, has Tigrov double as the ghost of Hamlet in Act II. Distinct from the unrelated story characters of the same surname in 'After the Benefit Performance' and 'The Jubilee'.
