Reading notes
- To E. M. Shavrova, 19 November 1891. Moscow. §12 Arbat, Bolshoy Afanasyevsky Lane, Lachinova's house
Shavrova's Moscow delivery address at the time of this letter: a house on Bolshoy Afanasyevsky Lane, off the Arbat, owned or let by a landlord/landlady named Lachinova. It replaces the Kislovka address (Bazilevsky's house) given on the envelope of Chekhov's letter to her of 16 September 1891, indicating a move within Moscow in the intervening two months -- both addresses sit in the same general Arbat-district neighborhood.
