Rumyantsev Library

The library of the Rumyantsev Museum in Moscow, founded on Count Nikolai Rumyantsev's donated collection and merged in 1862 with a new public museum to form the Moscow Public and Rumyantsev Museum -- see for the overlapping "Public Library" name used elsewhere in this same letter. Chekhov directs his hired copyist here for Sakhalin research beginning the third week of Lent 1890.
