The celebrated anonymous Old East Slavic epic poem recounting Prince Igor Svyatoslavich's failed 1185 campaign against the Polovtsians. Chekhov urges Suvorin to publish it in the "Cheap Library" series as a textbook aid (\S11 of this letter), alongside "The Teaching of Vladimir Monomakh" and the "Domostroi."
