A three-act play by Ivan Shcheglov (a reworking of an earlier one-act piece), which Chekhov here asks Shcheglov to send to Moscow after discussing its prospects with the actor Solovtsov at Korsh's theater.

"Театралов" (short for "Господа театралы," lit. "Messrs. Theatergoers"/"Gentlemen Theatergoers") is Shcheglov's three-act reworking of an earlier one-act play; named here for the first time in this corpus's translated letters as a title Chekhov is asking Shcheglov to send to Moscow for possible staging at Korsh's theater. New entity.
