A Tragedian in Spite of Himself

also: Трагик поневоле

A one-act farce Chekhov adapted, by his own account rather badly, from his earlier comic story "Tragik", fulfilling a promise made the previous winter to the actor Varlamov; sent to the censor in this letter with a request that the approved copy be issued to Bazarov for lithographing.
