Alexei Suvorin's play "The Power of the Heart" ("Власть сердца"); Chekhov here praises an article Suvorin wrote about it, while cautioning him against having mentioned his earlier, controversial play "Tatyana Repina" in that same article, on the grounds that an author of Suvorin's stature invites unflattering comparison by doing so.
