Luka Alexandrych's young son in Chekhov's "Kashtanka" (1887), remembered by the dog for tormenting her with cruel games (pulling her tail, tying meat to a thread to yank back out of her stomach); it is his voice from the gallery that she recognizes and runs to at the story's climax.
