Distinct from two other Anna Ivanovnas in the corpus: Anna Ivanovna Suvorina, Alexei Suvorin's wife, and Anna Ivanovna Khrushchova-Sokolnikova, Alexander Chekhov's common-law wife. This letter's context (a Leikin business errand, addressed to Leikin himself) confirms the Leikin-household identification, not either of the other two.
