Boris Borisovich Glinsky
Glinsky
also: Борис Борисович Глинский, Б. Б. Глинский
Boris Borisovich Glinsky (1860-1917), journalist and editor who had visited Chekhov and, "from the height of his editorial majesty," solicited him to write for his publication, promising even to print Chekhov's short pieces; Chekhov here mocks the offer as hollow now that Glinsky's venture appears to be foundering.

- To A. S. Suvorin, 13 May 1891. Aleksin. §3 Glinsky, Glinsky!
Boris Borisovich Glinsky, journalist and editor, had recently visited Chekhov in person and, "from the height of his editorial majesty," invited him to write for his publication, even promising to print Chekhov's minor pieces; Chekhov's exasperated repetition of the name signals how empty that overture now looks.
