Professor Kuzmin

Kuzmin

also: проф. Кузьмин

A Moscow physician/professor whom Chekhov, in closing medical instructions to his family, asks to perform a minor tonsil operation on his sister Masha if her sore throats continue through the summer -- cutting a small piece from each tonsil, described as "an innocent, painless operation." Chekhov adds that it would be "so much the better" if Elena Mikhailovna (Lintvaryova, the family-friend physician) would perform the operation instead.
