Russian writer (married name Veselitskaya) who published under the pen name V. Mikulich, author of the popular novella "Mimochka at the Waters"; Chekhov here reports, secondhand from Suvorin, that the author is "a certain Veselitskaya, a married woman," and judges the unread book as probably "ornate and mannered" out of admitted envy.
