Marfa Kharitonovna Rylindronova

Rylindronova

also: Марфа Харитоновна Рылиндронова, Marfa Kharitonovna Rylindronova

A grandiloquently-named editress of the (evidently minor or invented-sounding) magazine "Rodnik" ("The Wellspring") who writes Chekhov an effusive fan letter; Chekhov reports the letter is "so sweet one could eat it instead of honey" and jokes about visiting her circle of admirers in Petersburg -- comic exaggeration rather than a documented literary acquaintance.
