A real Russian trunk rail line (opened in stages 1869-1869, later merged into the Southern Railways network) running from Kursk through Kharkov to the Sea of Azov, abbreviated by Chekhov on the envelope as "КХА жел. дорога"; named here as the route to Stavrokovo Station, near Shavrova's Tula-province estate.
