О драме (сценка)

Headnote

A short satirical scene (1884) skewering contemporary Russian playwriting and stagecraft, name-checking real dramatists and actors of the day (among them Sarah Bernhardt and Tommaso Salvini) as points of comparison for its send-up of provincial theatrical pretension.
