My regards to the Kiselyovs – in view of their vastness, I send them by way of Ivan. Olenka Lashkevich has bloody diarrhea. I meant to enter into lawful wedlock with her, but now I have no wish to: she has diarrhea.
Поклон Киселевым, ввиду его громадности, посылаю через Ивана. У Оленьки Лашкевич кровавый понос. Хотел с ней в законный брак вступить, но теперь не желаю: у нее понос.
They say you have grown terribly attached to Madame Speh. Invite her to visit us in Moscow. We shall arrange a bout of bloody diarrhea for her too, free of charge. I write of diarrhea so that you will not let anyone read my letters.
Говорят, что ты страшно привязалась к мадам Шпехь. Пригласи ее к нам в Москву. Мы ей тоже кровавый понос устроим, бесплатно. Пишу о поносе для того, чтобы ты не давала никому читать моих писем.
