I. M. Kondratyev

also: И. М. Кондратьевым, agent of the Dramatic Society

Agent of the Society of Russian Dramatic Writers and Opera Composers, who confirmed to Chekhov that Aleksandr Alekseevich's fee had been sent in full on 26 March. In (28 February 1889) Chekhov, addressing him as "Ivan Maksimovich," asks him to prepare and mail a bill -- almost certainly a further statement of performance fees/royalties owed for Chekhov's plays, continuing the same administrative relationship; later letters not yet in this corpus reportedly continue the same royalties-catalog thread. Distinct from the writer (Ivan Kuzmich Kondratyev, patronymic Kuzmich, addressee of about a Savrasov painting -- shares only the surname and initial "I.") and the unrelated Moscow contact.
