A real censor in Suvorin's Petersburg circle, sent regards by Chekhov, who proposed to Anna Ivanovna Suvorina that he and Ivan Pavlovich Kazansky be invited to Feodosia for the summer. Distinct from, a fictional character in Suvorin's play "Tatyana Repina" who shares only the surname.
