Dated 8 February 1892, from Selo Khrenovoye in Voronezh province – a genuine distinct item from (2 February, from Moscow, also to Shekhtel): different date, different place of writing, different content, part of the same famine-relief travel thread Chekhov describes to Shekhtel in the earlier note.
A brief practical errand addressed to Fyodor (Franz) Osipovich Shekhtel. Chekhov asks him to have Ferrein’s pharmacy in Moscow, or another supplier of his choosing, send two pounds of the medicinal mustard seed Shekhtel himself takes, mailed cash on delivery to Stepan Pavlovich Ilovaisky (addressed with the honorific "His Excellency," indicating a senior civil or military rank) at Selo Khrenovoye. Chekhov asks that the seed come with its usual printed instructions, apologizes for the trouble, and closes by noting they will see each other after the 12th.
