Polya

Orlov's maid, who despises the narrator (as a fellow servant beneath her notice) and comes to despise and steal from Zinaida Fyodorovna once she senses Orlov's interest in her cooling. She is complicit in concealing Orlov's fabricated "inspection tours," bringing him fresh shirts at Pekarsky's flat, and takes malicious pleasure in Zinaida Fyodorovna's decline.
