Kokosha, the family nickname for Alexander Chekhov's infant son (Anton's nephew), whose progress in learning to talk is of particular interest to the children's grandmother, Yevgenia Chekhova.

Chekhov's nephew, son of his elder brother Alexander Pavlovich Chekhov, and named Anton after his uncle; the identification of "Alexander's little son Anton" with the established entity (first attested, where he is gifted a silver ruble as an infant) is an inference from the combination of name and parentage rather than an explicit cross-reference in the source text, but is consistent with the boy's age and household across the corpus's other Alexander-Chekhov-family letters.
