Chernov (actor)

An actor named only by surname, whom Chekhov jokingly proposes as preferable casting for the role of "Prince (Obo) Lensky" over Adasheva -- "wooden too, but seems to be made of somewhat softer wood." Not otherwise identified or attested elsewhere in this corpus, and distinct from, an unrelated invented pair of Hermitage theater performers in a different, satirical text.
