A Moscow map/bookseller from whom Chekhov bought a good map of the Far East for 65 kopecks, shortly before asking Suvorin to track down Krusenstern's atlas as well (wanted precisely for its poor map, useful correctively). Not otherwise identified; distinct from, an unrelated Ivan Mikhailovich Ilyin in the story "Neschastye."
