Almost certainly Alexei Alexeyevich Kolomnin, manager of the business side of Suvorin's "Novoye Vremya," consistent with his appearance in this corpus's other January-February 1889 Petersburg letters (see, where he is referred to only by patronymic, "Alexei Alexeyevich"); this letter gives only the surname, and the identification, while highly probable, is not certain from internal evidence alone.
